Rubrics can help ensure consistent and impartial grading and help students focus on your expectations.
About rubrics
You can create multiple rubrics in your course. Rubrics consist of rows and columns. The rows correspond to the criteria. The columns correspond to the level of achievement that describes each criterion. New rubrics have three rows and three columns.
Export and Import
To copy rubrics to your computer or the Content Collection to use them in other courses, use the rubric export and import features. To export, select the check box next to the rubric name and select Export on the action bar. Next, select the destination for the export. To import, select Import Rubric on the action bar and navigate to the ZIP file.
Rubric options
Access a rubric's menu and select an option:
- Open: Displays a read-only copy of the rubric with links to view items associated with the rubric.
- Edit: Edit the name, description, and content of the rubric. If you used the rubric for grading, you can only edit the name and description. Copy the rubric to make changes.
- Copy: Create an exact copy of the rubric. Copies aren't associated with any items by default, and you can edit them.
- Delete: Delete the rubric from the course and remove any associated items. You can't delete rubrics unless you delete the Grade Center column that contains the grade derived from the rubric.
- View Associated Content: Display a list of items associated with this rubric to determine where it's used in the course. A comprehensive Rubric Evaluation Report is also available for items graded with rubrics.
